Happy Retirement and Happy Birthday Many a daughter, when asked, will say she loves her Dad. Many will say she even likes him. Still many will say they respect him. But few in a crowd will say she does all three: loves, likes, and respects. Yet J.B. Kelley is a man who has two daughters who would wholeheartedly say they hold true to all these. This pillar in our community has touched countless lives, especially through his law enforcement career of 50 years. He has served on countless boards, stake outs, court cases, presentations, trainings, awards, titles, conferences, administrations. He has served a plethora of juveniles, families, and generations. When he removed his badge and weapon and exited his patrol car for the final time, he remained committed to upholding the values and responsibilities that defined his career. Thank you, Daddy, for a well honored career! Thank you for the lives you have impacted and changed (we still hear the redemption stories on a regular basis). But most of all thank you for loving Mama and us so well. Congratulations on your retirement! Your identity may have been officer J. B. Kelley since you graduated high school, but never fear, it's always been the man beneath the badge that made the difference, not the badge itself. Welcome to the next chapter!
